Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Star Signal ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

Description of Service

Star Signal provides information about astronomical events visible from your location, including planets, ISS passes, meteor showers, aurora, moon phases, conjunctions, eclipses, and comets. Event visibility is scored based on weather conditions and light pollution.

Subscriptions

Star Signal offers an optional auto-renewable subscription called "Star Signal Pro" that unlocks push notification alerts for astronomical events.

• Subscription options: Monthly and Annual plans are available. Pricing is displayed in the App before purchase in your local currency.
• Free trial: If a free trial is offered, it will be clearly stated before purchase. You will not be charged during the trial period. At the end of the trial, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid subscription unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends.
• Billing: Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
• Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
• Management: You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your device's Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions.
• No refunds: Any unused portion of a free trial period will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription.

Free Features

The App provides a free tier that includes browsing the tonight feed of astronomical events, moon phase information, and event details. Push notification alerts require a Star Signal Pro subscription.

Accuracy Disclaimer

Star Signal provides astronomical event predictions and weather-based visibility scoring on a best-effort basis. Event times, visibility scores, and weather data are approximations and may not be perfectly accurate. Do not rely on the App for navigation, safety-critical decisions, or scientific research.

User Conduct

You agree not to misuse the App, interfere with its operation, or attempt to access it through unauthorized means.

Intellectual Property

All content, design, and code in Star Signal are owned by the developer. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes.

Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time for violation of these Terms.

Limitation of Liability

Star Signal is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for any damages arising from your use of the App.

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
